Since 1996, expanded polyurethane agglomerate has been produced in our factory and used in our products and in many other sectors. This same material can be recycled to obtain new material.
Our manufacturing process
Harvesting and Grinding: We collect scraps of polyurethane foam and agglomerate itself deriving from cutting and manufacturing production processes. These materials are subjected to a first grinding phase.
Storage and Mixing: The ground materials are stored in a first silo and then subjected to a second grinding phase to obtain the desired granule and then stored in the second silo. Subsequently the ground coffee is poured into a mixing tank where it is impregnated with a special binder. The mixture is finally poured into molds of different shapes depending on the product you want to obtain or on the customer's personalized needs.
Steam Treatment and Drying: The blocks or shapes are treated with water vapor and left to dry for approximately 24 hours. This process ensures that the final product is solid, dry and ready for further processing.
Shaping and Cutting: The blocks are produced in various densities and heights to meet different use needs. The blocks are shaped to obtain customized shapes according to the customer's specifications or cut into sheets of different thicknesses, using advanced blade or wire cutting machinery.
Engraving and Finishing: Some products require further processing of the agglomerate, such as trimming and gluing to create our renowned judo tatami. In all processing phases we strictly comply with safety regulations.
